Avalanche detection Beisfjord

Nordland County Municipality hereby invites tenderers to a contest for Avalanche detection for county road no. 7570 Beisfjord in Narvik Municipality. Digital tender conference 24 August at 09:00 local time. Click here to participate in the meeting. Lot 1: A detection facility will be established at Smalneset in Beisfjord. A radar system and a camera system will monitor Blomlia and the mountainside over county road no. 7570. When a snow avalanche that can cause a road hazard is detected, the facility will send a signal to a signalling facility that will close the road. The signalling facility is not included in this contest. If the avalanche does not reach as far down as the road, the road will be reopened automatically. There is no infrastructure at Smalneset. The tenderer must ensure that the necessary infrastructure and local power supply where the detection facility is to be located. The detection facility must also be operated for 5 years. There is an option for an additional 5 years of operation.
