The Ballistic PPE Capability kit is to be designed and manufactured to protect staff/operational staff who may be responding to incidents relating to the maintenance of law and order with or without other agencies such as (but not limited) Ambulance, Police and FRS The Ballistic PPE capability is made up of the following PPE/equipment. —Lot 1 — Body Armour inc Plates, Body Armour Carrier and Stowage Bag. Delta access code XY88A23X7Q —Lot 2 — Ballistic Helmet. Delta access code 82C343FB7B —Lot 3 — Tactical Coverall (two piece) and helmet cover. Delta access code DM786GMD3F —Lot 4 — Gloves (Dexterity). Delta access code B7J3Q76H9G —Lot 5 — Goggles (interchangeable lenses). Delta access code S84369PG48 —Lot 6 — Head Torch. Delta access code V9AZD8M7G6 —Lot 7 — Headset Communications / Ear Defenders. Delta access code U28YB22497. Ballistic resistant body armour certified to the CAST (former HOSDB) standards as detailed for both male and female wearers, the carrier and body armour must provide full protection to front and back. The armour must provide the following protection in accordance with the Home Office CAST Body Armour Standard (2017) Published 31.7.2017: HO4, KR1. Plus HO1, HO2, HO3, HO4, KR1. A valid CAST (former HOSDB) compliance certificate must be supplied. Any additional test round data must have been completed in a CAST (former HOSDB) accredited test facility within the last 2 years. The body armour will need to have blunt force trauma protection. The manufacturer must be accredited to an appropriate quality assurance standard for manufacturing. Please refer to Appendix 2 Ballistic PPE Specification, as published, for the full technical details and requirements for this Lot. Ballistic PPE helmet. Protection against 436m/sec (9mm Parabellem, DM11A1B2) with Fragment protection — V50 = 575 m/sec (1.1 g/17 gr. Fragment) Please refer to Appendix 2 Ballistic PPE Specification, as published, for the full technical details and requirements for this Lot. Tactical Coverall (two piece) Shower proof and inherently fire retardant coverall consisting of a uniform made of two pieces, trouser and jacket. Trouser, with 50 mm belt loops also the ability to have fixed braces if required. Jacket top which can be fixed to the trousers by means of a zip and stretched fabric to produce a 1 piece suit ensuring sufficient overlap and sealing to minimise the risk of heat and flames passing to the inside of the coveralls at the join. Garment(s) to be machine washable at 60°C. The complete 2-piece coverall will be worn as part of a layered protective system allowing for the donning of ballistic body armour and ballistic helmet. Meeting ISO11612, A1, B1, C1, F1, CE standards Helmet Cover. Fabric cover to fit the Ballistic Helmet (Lot 2) flame protection to ISO15025:2000 procedure A (code letter A1) Please refer to Appendix 2 Ballistic PPE Specification, as published, for the full technical details and requirements for this Lot. Gloves — Fire retardant, with dexterity that will enable fastening (i.e. stretcher straps and buckles) conforming to standards EN420, EN407 Please refer to Appendix 2 Ballistic PPE Specification, as published, for the full technical details and requirements for this Lot. Goggles (interchangeable lenses) to be used with Ballistic Helmet (lot 2) and conforming to NATO standard STANAG2920 Please refer to Appendix 2 Ballistic PPE Specification, as published, for the full technical details and requirements for this Lot. Head Torch. Multiple light sources with high/medium/low spectrum modes, switchable to flash mode, waterproof up to 1 m. Please refer to Appendix 2 Ballistic PPE Specification, as published, for the full technical details and requirements for this Lot. Headset Communications / Ear Defenders: capable of reducing high frequency noises to safe levels, Supports radio communication / verbal communication in hazardous and noisy environments, confirming to PPE directives 89/686/EEC, EMC directives 2004/108/EC, MIL-STD-810F, EMC-MIL-STD-461F, SNR 39db when combined with foam ear plugs.
