Weir removal - Ammanford

Published

Description

West Wales Rivers Trust (WWRT) are working with Natural Resources Wales (NRW) to deliver a series of fish passage and river habitat improvements within the West Wales catchment, under the Fisheries Habitat Improvement project. WWRT have identified a weirs on the Afon Loughor as a structure that is posing a barrier to the movement of small fish species, as well as impounding the watercourse and preventing natural geomorphological and hydrological processes. WWRT seek a suitably experienced contractor to carry out the partial removal of this structure.
