Summary of the work In support of the Government and MOD digital transformation strategy the DBS service records via the www.gov.uk website. DBS require the following outputs and work breakdown: 50% develop HR dashboard prototype for release into private Beta 48% development of HR forms 2% constructive plan to enable skills transfer. Specialist role Developer Expected Contract Length 25 days with the option to add additional days up to 15. Latest start date Monday 8 October 2018 Who Speclialist Work With The supplier will primarily be working with in-house Developer, User Researcher, Technical Architect and Delivery Manager. Skills & Experience • Extensive experience of web development • Proven experience in use of industry standard web application technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, PHP, CSS3 and JSON • Proven experience in use of service-based technologies such as SOAP, AJAX, and APIs • Contructive planning to enable skills transfer Nice to Haves • Provide evidence of delivery within a Government Department • Provide evidence of web development experience Work Location It is expected that the majority of the time will be spent in Bristol, at MOD Abbey Wood North but there may be some travel to other MOD sites such as London to engage with users. Working Arrangments The specialist is expected to work a 5 day week to work alongside DBS architect and development staff to enable skills transfer. Security Clearance UKSV SC level required. The resource we are bringing in is to undertake development work on a specific project that anyone with the right skill set could undertake. 2. Is there a current incumbent? While we have developers within DBS they are assigned to other work or other elements of the project there is no post for the ES to slot into. There is no incumbent in the role at the moment this procurement is seeking to bring in additional resource for a this specific work over a specific time. 3. Is the rate to be proposed by supplier?
