Description

In support of the Flaxmill Creates Festival (19-21 July 2024) Emergency Exit Arts will carry out Community Workshops prior to the event. On the first day of the Festival (Friday 19 July) they will organise a parade from the centre of Shrewsbury, led by the puppet character Farah the Fox, to meet a host puppet character, Sabrina, Goddess of the River Severn, at Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings. This will provide a spectacle to start the Festival, accompanied by associated music and dancing, and champion Historic England's work on the recent High Street Heritage Action Zones and Hi! Street Fest.
