Description

SRUC is the lead academic partner in a consortium that will conduct research into the epidemiology, aetiology, histopathology, and molecular pathology of Complex Gill Disease (CGD) in Scottish farmed salmon. To support this research, SRUC will require specialist expertise in the pathology of fish diseases, diagnostic tests for gill disease and for putative pathogens associated with disease. We are seeking a subcontractor with the required domain expertise and experience to support this project for a period of 3 years. Tenderers must complete and submit both the ESPD, and Schedule 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of this document. Failure to complete and submit the ESPD, and Schedule 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 will result in the tenderer’s submission being rejected. In addition tenderers will be required to provide details of their quality assurance system accreditation, insurance coverage and financial standing. SRUC is an innovative, knowledge-based organisation which supports the development of the land-based industries and communities through its specialist research and development resources, its education and learning provision and its expert advisory and consultancy services. Its work is wide ranging but there is particular emphasis on agriculture and related science; rural business development and management; food chain quality and safety; and rural resource and environmental management. SRUC’s Research Division is focused on rural, environmental and land-based activity and underpins our contribution to education and consultancy. Our work addresses health and productivity in animals, animal welfare and crops, promotes low carbon farming and increases farm output through efficiency and innovation.
