UK Shared Business Services Ltd acting on behalf of the contracting authority UK Space Agency have purchased the services of a temporary commercial director to lead the award of EDDP contacts and prepare a commercial strategy for future procurement's. This Single Sourcing Action (SSA) was approved in line with Regulation 32 (2)(b)(ii) competition is absent for technical reasons. UK Shared Business Services Ltd acting on behalf of the Contracting Authority UK Space Agency have purchased the services of a temporary commercial director to lead the award of EDDP contacts and prepare a commercial strategy for future procurement's. Under this contract the supplier will take responsibility for the following: 1) Provide leadership and guidance in the establishment of a commercial directorate for the UK Space Agency; 2) Lead engagement with the UK space sector industry inside and outside of formal procurement processes; 3) Develop a commercial strategy for inclusion in the GNSS FBC including a: (a) commercial operating model; (b) strategy options paper including recommendations; (c) associated implementation plan; 4) Develop and implement a supplier relationship management strategy; 5) Develop and implement a market engagement and management strategy; 6) Develop and implement a procurement strategy to support all tenders required by the GNSS Programme; 7) Represent the programme in assurance tasks where needed and assist with the management of associated approvals and liaisons; 8) Support any IPA review findings and their associated mitigating responses from the programme; and 9) Provide exit support to the UK Space Agency prior to termination date.
