Description
On 12 May 2021, the Prime Minister of the UK Government announced that there would be established under the Inquiries Act 2005, an independent, public inquiry into the handling in the UK of the Covid-19 pandemic. On 15 December 2021, the Prime Minister of the UK Government announced that the Covid-19 Inquiry would be chaired by the Rt Hon Baroness Heather Hallett DBE. Subsequently, on 28 June 2022, the Inquiry’s Terms of Reference were set by the Prime Minister and, with that, the Inquiry was formally established. A key part of the Welsh Government’s preparations for the Covid-19 Inquiry will be to collate, index, review, analyse, manage, categorise and organise all of the records it holds so that it is ready to respond to requests from the UK Covid-19 Inquiry team. The appointed Supplier shall provide an electronic solution and support services to enable the Welsh Government to undertake these preparations.
