Description
From September 2022, the Flying Start programme will be expanded to reach up to 2,500 more children aged 0 to 4 by increasing the Flying Start target areas in every local authority in Wales. To meet this target, Newport City Council is expanding the Flying Start childcare provision in Newport with a particular emphasis on strengthening Welsh-medium provision. The Council are seeking to develop an approved list of childcare providers in Newport which will operate from 1 January 2024 until 31 March 2025. Whilst any provider is welcome to apply, areas of particular interest for are as follows: - Beechwood - Stow Hill - St Julian’s - Lliswerry - Allt-Yr-Yn - Shaftesbury The approved list will operate similar to a Dynamic Purchasing System in accordance with the Public Procurement Regulations 2015. Therefore after the initial tender has been awarded, the invitation to tender will be opened again until 31 March 2025 for current or new providers in market to be able to apply.
