LANDSCAPING, MINOR WORKS & SPECIALIST SURFACING AND ASSOCIATED WORKS or SERVICES (2024 - 2028)

The requirement is to establish a wide-ranging framework agreement that can support Southampton City Council's (the Council) in-house teams in delivering a range of services and minor works to residential dwellings, civic buildings, and other properties and sites owned, managed, or leased by the Council; all to agreed standards and in a timely, consistent, cost effective and safe manner. The council shall use this framework agreement to run further competitions or to direct award call off contracts for the provision of the services and works. Lot 1: Soft Landscaping This Lot for good quality soft landscape works, comprises mostly but not limited to; planting, turfing and seeding, soil moving and forming groundworks - drainage, bark mulch, tree planting, watering, landscape maintenance, herbicide application, grass cutting etc. Lot 2: Hard Landscaping & Minor Civil Works This Lot for good quality hard landscape works, comprises mostly but not limited to; groundworks, bound and unbound paving installations, pouring Concrete pads, brick, block, gabion, palisade, crib and sleeper walls together with small building, demolition and refurbishment, construction of minor associated external works such as walls and external furnishings, retaining walls, edgings and gravel paths. Lot 3: Macadam & Resin Surfacing This Lot for good quality Tarmac, resin bound and resin bonded surfacing works, PCC/Aluminium/Steel path edges, Road Traffic Management preparation and associated works. Lot 4: Fencing his Lot for good quality fencing, Paramesh, weld mesh railings, chain link, palisade, post and rail, feather/close board with gates and possible Road Traffic Management preparation and associated works. Lot 5: Safer Surfacing This Lot for good quality hard landscape works, comprises mostly but not limited to; Tiger mulch, wet pour grass mats and all other safer surfacing. Lot 6: Play Area Works Undertaking a variety of works within our play areas in the city, to include installation of new play equipment, removal of old equipment and refurbishment of sites., Road Traffic Management preparation and associated works. Lot 7: Steel Fabrication and repairs This Lot for good quality repairs of steel equipment across the city to fabricate new steel items as required. Lot 8: Agronomy This Lot for good quality tractor mounted works, including Disc and Direct Drill seeding, cultivation and ripping large areas of soil for seeding. Management preparation and associated works. Lot 9: Hydroseeding This Lot for good quality hydroseeding, hydraulic mulch seeding, hydro mulching. Lot 10: Minor Works up to approximately £500K in value This Lot is for good quality minor works projects covering refurbishment, general construction and demolition works across the city. The values will range from £5k to £500K in general but there may be variance around these values. Works will be as set out below but the intention of the Framework is to provide a degree of flexibility in the nature of works which may vary from those listed. Lot 11: Project Design This Lot is for good quality project design covering refurbishment, general construction and small open space works across the city. The values will vary from £5k to £50K in general but there may be variance around these values. Works will be as set out below but the intention of the Framework is to provide a degree of flexibility in the nature of works which may vary from those listed.
