The Highway Structures, Bridge and Subway Lot (Lot 4) will include the following elements of work: New construction could cover the following elements of work: a) Construction of new highway road bridges. b) Construction of new highway footbridges. c) Construction of retaining walls. d) Subways and culverts. e) Construction of traffic sign gantries. Works may include: Site Clearance. Earthworks. Construction of drainage. Planing and resurfacing. Pavement construction. Kerb and footway construction. Structural concrete, steelwork and timber. Waterproofing. Brickwork, Blockwork and masonry. Carriageway signs and lines. Installation and improvement of street lighting. Ducting and inspection chambers. Planning and Supervision of utility diversions. Installation of bridge parapet systems and vehicle restraint systems. Installation of traffic signal equipment and liaison with TfGM UTC. Installation of street furniture and traffic signs. Landscaping. Painting / protection against corrosion. Repairs and reconstruction could include the following work: Structural repairs to timber, steelwork and concrete, masonry and brickwork. Strengthening works. Bridge re-decking and re-surfacing. Parapet repairs and footway protection. Installation of vehicle restraint systems. Re- tiling of subways. Painting / Graffiti removal / protection against corrosion. Improvements to Drainage. Improvement to lighting. Work may include: Site Clearance. Earthworks. Construction of drainage. Planing and resurfacing. Pavement construction. Kerbing and footway construction. Structural concrete and steelwork. Waterproofing. Brickwork, Blockwork and masonry. Carriageway signs and lines. Installation and improvement of street lighting. Ducting and inspection chambers. Planning and Supervision of utility diversions. Installation of bridge parapet systems and vehicle restraint systems. Installation of traffic signal equipment and liaison with TfGM UTC. Installation of street furniture and traffic signs. Landscaping. All material arising's that cannot be incorporated into the permanent works shall be disposed of offsite to a licensed tip using a grab wagon operated by a competent CPCS operator. A waste transfer note must be provided for each load removed from site
