AHDB require the PR Agency to advise on how best to articulate key messages, advise on the most effective tools to deliver these messages to a range of external audiences; draft and issue press releases for events, projects, schemes/campaigns and work, and issues management. Other requirements are to produce well researched key messages, underpinned by evidence from either within AHDB, British Nutrition Foundation or other credible external sources to help achieve communication objectives. There are 3 types of AHDB promotional activities: 1) AHDB only; 2) AHDB and the Department of International Trade (DIT). AHDB organises events with the assistance of DIT who is a UK government department responsible for developing export trade; 3) Ring Fenced (RFF) activities – AHDB and DIT, HCC (Welsh meat board), QMS (Scottish meat board), and INI (Northern Ireland meat board). To support this, it requires the delivery of targeted, effective and innovative events. AHDB has put together a calendar of events for 2020: 1) promotional event in Washington DC, for the food service sector and the local authorities; 2) participate at Summer Fancy Food Show This activity is scheduled for the 28 June 2020-30 June 2020; 3) promotional events in NY, Miami & L.A. for the food service sector. AHDB is open to the idea of alternative locations and flexibility for these events.
