Provision of digital workforce planning and skills development solution for the renewable energy sector

Ireland is going through accelerated growth in the renewable energy industry due to climate and external pressures. The onshore wind capacity is targeted to double by the end of 2030 and the offshore wind capacity will have to go from near zero to exceed the current total installed capacity of wind in the same timeframe. This sets the stage for a giant demand on skills and human capital. The TNP funded by Skillnet Ireland from the National Training Fund through the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science provides impactful learning at reduced costs to employees of private companies from micro up to multinational, Semi-State companies and even sole traders. It is envisions that this digital integration solution will be taken on fully by larger companies in the sector but SMEs may wish to avail of skills development solutions that are available without high integration costs. Scope of Work The digital solution should be able to: 1. Develop individual capabilities through: a. Validating, challenging, and informing everyday decisions amongst renewable professionals involved in developing, constructing, operating and maintaining renewable assets b. Aligning with project or work management governance approaches adopted by their organisations c. Developing and embedding professional knowledge d. Improving collaboration across teams and functions 2. Support the development of organisational tacit knowledge a. Encourage pull learning rather than push learning b. Highlight the support professionals require within the business c. Trace the engagement with the learning content d. Have extensive reporting capabilities which demonstrate return on investment and value creation 3. Meet the following technical requirements a. Solution must be available on demand b. It should integrate easily with organisational IT infrastructure
