The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is seeking a design agency to undertake a refresh of its brand. The organisation has a strong global reputation, as one of the world’s leading botanical gardens and its brand is trusted and well-known in science, education, horticultural and tourism sectors. Following the development of our new Corporate and Science & Biodiversity Strategies and a new brand strategy (revised vision, mission, values and brand proposition), it’s time to develop an equally confident, relevant and global brand. We need a brand which brings the strategy to life for all our audiences and helps us communicate clearly who we are and what we stand for. The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is looking for a design agency who will work with the organisation to develop a refreshed brand identity which engages audiences with our vision and mission; communicates the relevance of our scientific and horticultural work; makes a compelling case for support and helps us realise commercial opportunities. We need a design partner who will help us translate our ambitions into a clear verbal and visual identity. Our brand must work across all 4 gardens and our digital platforms. It needs to accommodate the breadth of work we do. We want our brand to be instantly recognisable to communicate our ambition and currency and inspire engagement and collaboration. We need audiences to understand we are a globally significant organisation and a world-class visitor attraction and our brand should be a powerful tool to support fundraising in order to galvanise support for our ambitious strategy from individuals and corporate partners.
