CONTRACT FOR STAGE 3B MARINE CIVILS AND RECLAMATION TO THE DOVER WESTERN DOCKS

DWDR Stage 3B Marine Civils and Reclamation, consists of infilling the old Granville Dock, Tidal Basin marinas, and the Wick Channel, to create approx. 10 hectares of Port land for future development. Works to include, reclamation, marine civil engineering and utilities. Lot 1: DWDR Stage 3B Marine Civils and Reclamation, consists of infilling the old Granville Dock, Tidal Basin marinas, and the Wick Channel, to create approx. 10 hectares of Port land for future development. Works cannot commence until the New Marina has been opened and the various stakeholders have transitioned across to the New Marina, which is expected to occur by Q3 2023. This Contract is anticipated to commence on site in early 2024. Works to include; - Decommissioning of marina services (LV, potable water, and comms). - Removal of old pontoons. - Extracting / cutting off old pontoon restraint piles. - Removal of old redundant greenheart timber fendering. - Deck removal, stripping of rock armour, pile extraction / cutting-off on North Pier. - Removal of concrete grillage, stripping of rock armour on South Pier. - Wellington Dock quay wall structure inc. dredging and anchorage. - Wick Channel quay wall structure inc. dredging and anchorage. - Decommissioning of Granville Dock lock gates. - Decommissioning of Wellington Dock lock gates. - Decommissioning of Union St Swingbridge, including a temporary diversion of Union Street to keep it open to cargo HGVs during the decommissioning works. - Extension of Southern Water outfall in Tidal Basin. - Connecting to existing storm water drainage and providing a strategy for storm water drainage across the reclamation. - Connecting to existing foul drainage and providing foul drainage across the site. - Connecting to existing HV / LV networks and providing HV / LV across the site. - Connecting to existing comms networks and providing comms across the site. - Re-routing of services currently under the Wellington Dock lock pit (Union Street Swingbridge). - Reclamation of Granville Dock, Tidal Basin and Wick Channel inc. surcharge to accelerate consolidation. The reclamation material will not be sourced via the Goodwin Sands. The Employer has no preference to the source of the reclamation material so long as it complies with the specification in the ITN. - Heavy duty pavement along the Wick Channel. - Extension of Union Street extending to Lord Warden Square. - Highway Construction Union Street from the Swingbridge to the A20 Prince of Wales junction. - Mothballing of the old marina office. - Mothballing of the old RNLI station. - Mothballing of the old Tug Haven building.
