Description

The Request for Tender (RFT) relates to research services for two waves of the DJEI Annual Business Survey of Economic Impact (ABSEI): Wave I relating to the 2017 survey and Wave II for the 2018 survey. DJEI is requesting the provision of research services for the ABSEI of client companies of each of the enterprise development agencies. The survey commences in December 2017 for all client companies. Experienced survey research organisations are invited to tender for this project, which covers the preparation of questionnaires, distributing questionnaires by post, data collection, data validation and data analysis aspects of the survey. The Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation (DJEI) has a dedicated Survey Unit which collects official, national data as well as data relating to client companies of the enterprise development agencies (Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland and Údarás na Gaeltachta). The Survey Unit is part of the Strategic Policy Division (SPD) of DJEI, which incorporates the research and survey functions formerly undertaken by Forfás. This Request for Tender (RFT) relates to research services for 2 waves of the DJEI Annual Business Survey of Economic Impact (ABSEI): Wave I relating to the 2017 survey year and Wave II for the 2018 survey year. This is a major survey undertaken each year by DJEI on behalf of the enterprise agencies, the results of which are published as an official Government report on the DJEI website. DJEI is requesting the provision of research services for the ABSEI of client companies of each of the enterprise development agencies referred to above. The survey will commence in December 2017 for all client companies of Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland and Údarás na Gaeltachta. Organisations tendering for the survey are asked to provide options for the questionnaires to be returned electronically by the survey respondents while maintaining, and if possible improving, the current overall response rate (currently at ~65 % of clients and over 80 % by employment numbers). We currently achieve in excess of 80 % of all questionnaires returned electronically and would like to maintain and, if possible, increase this proportion in coming years. Experienced survey research organisations are invited to tender for this project, which covers the preparation of questionnaires, distributing questionnaires by post, data collection, data validation and data analysis aspects of the survey.
