For the provision of General Banking Services

Published

Description

The banking service provides the mechanisms by which the financial infrastructure for the policing operations of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and West Yorkshire Police can be delivered. The service pays staff and creditors, enables us to receive money, and provides the ability to withdraw and deposit cash, all of which the Force relies on to be able to provide the core service to the public. Without the contract, the policing function of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and the Force would not have an ability to receive and pay money, and therefore would be unable to function. Currently electronic systems are in place to allow banking transactions to be undertaken, with specific authorisation levels. Interrogation of bank transactions is also available, and there is an automatic bank reconciliation process in place. Currently electronic systems are in place to allow banking transactions to be undertaken, with specific authorisation levels. Interrogation of bank transactions is also available, and there is an automatic bank reconciliation process in place. Cash deposits are still required, as are facilities to withdraw cash. Paying in books must be supplied by the bank, with the paying in slip to reference the district or department making the deposit. West Yorkshire Combined Authority will require the provision of account information daily, by electronic means, and the ability to extract this detailed data for a minimum of 15 months. A facility to make same day priority payments, BACS payments, internal transfers, and international payments is also required, along with access to real time advice of incoming CHAPS payments, or real time reporting during the day.
