Provision of Rapid Access Physiotherapy Services for Somerset Council

Published

Value

180,000 GBP

Description

The Authority requires a Rapid Access Physiotherapy (RAP) service for its employees Rapid Access to Physiotherapy forms an integral part of the strategy for managing sickness absence. Experience has shown that if an employer can find readily available support and active therapy for musculoskeletal injuries (one of the most common reasons for absence from work), then employees recover more quickly and can either back at work between therapeutic sessions or return to work much sooner than normal. Providing this service has proved to be an effective way to actively manage employees’ return to health and minimise the loss of working days. Lot 1: This Contract is being procured on behalf of Somerset Council and the following organisations who may utilise the services during the life of the contract: o SCC Maintained Schools o Non-Maintained Schools in Somerset o South West Councils (https://swcouncils.gov.uk/) o Multi-Academy Trusts that contain Somerset Schools Please note, the organisations listed above may potentially access Physio services through this contract, however there are no guarantees or ideas of potential usage. The Authority will ensure the Supplier is consulted appropriately prior to these organisations gaining access to the contract.
