The Council require a contractor to maintain their sprinkler and other specialist fire system installed in their property portfolio. Fife Council require a contractor to maintain their sprinklers and other specialist fire systems installed in their buildings in a safe, satisfactory, reliable and efficient operating condition to maintain safe conditions for building users and to ensure the Council complies with it’s duties under health and safety legislation, to the properties and equipment listed in the pricing section of the tender document. This comprises approximately: — 22 no commercial sprinkler sites, — 1 276 no domestic/residential sprinkler sites, — 8 no Puck water mist sites, — 30 no dry risers sites, — 12 no hydrant sites, — 1 no FM 200 site, — 34 no smoke vent sites, — 18 no fire curtain/fire shutters sites. The Council is currently building additional affordable housing and the contract includes for the future addition of new build site houses with approx. 1, 200 new sprinklers systems over the contract period comprising: — financial year 2019-2020 : 300 sites, — financial year 2020-2021 : 400 sites, — financial year 2021-2022 : 500 sites. 1.2) The sprinkler contractor or any sub contractor must hold a current LPS 1048 Level 3 or 4 accreditation for sprinklers and all engineers or sub contractor’s proposed must be suitably qualified to work on the various different systems encompassed by this contract.
