Dredging monitoring system

Published

Description

Since 1993 The Crown Estate has required all dredging vessels operating in licensed areas of the seabed to be fitted with Electronic Monitoring Systems to record the date, time and location of all dredging activities. With 20 years of operating experience we wish to introduce a new generation of monitoring systems which take full advantage of technical advances since the last design. We require – • A monitoring system suitable for fitting to dredging vessels; • A system whereby the data transmitted to shore from these monitoring systems can be stored centrally and accessed by appropriate parties; and • Maintenance and support services to ensure that any technical issues that arise during the operation of the monitoring systems and central data store are resolved in a timely manner.
