Occupational health – Health surveillance
Published
Description
The Health & Wellbeing strategy was approved by workforce panel in April 2023, the strategy sets out the plan for the next 3 years and centres around five priorities for health & wellbeing: • Mental wellbeing • Physical wellbeing • Belonging and social wellbeing • Financial wellbeing • Enhanced support for employees with long term conditions and disabilities. The strategy was developed using the councils co-design methodology and incorporated ideas and inspiration from our employee staff groups, trade unions and the Salford 100. The vision for this strategy is: “To improve the health and wellbeing of the workforce through effective support strategies, which are evidence based, accessible and applicable to the whole workforce and to ensure more employees have more good days at work.” A key part in delivering the strategy and Health & Wellbeing is the delivery of an effective Occupational Health Service. To ensure that this service is fit to deliver the strategy a full review has taken place of the current service.
