Supply and/or install Kitchens and bathrooms including design Other adhoc works Condition Surveys Professional Services: Trades: Not limited to Joinery - All forms of joinery as required Electrician Plumber Gas Engineer Plasterer Please refer to Schedule 1 Lot 5 for further information on the scope of this Lot. Works consist of a series of undefined, external refurbishment and upgrading projects on Council land. It is anticipated that most projects will be with neighbourhoods but could be anywhere in the Councils portfolio of land. Works will be carried out in consultation with the client (CEC), community groups, owners, tenants, and members of the public, and the contractor may on occasion be required to attend briefings with council staff/local community groups/elected members. Work will consist of the following but not limited to: Removal of debris in line with environmental legislation. Site security and safety measures. Liaising with appropriate utility companies to arrange appropriate licenses, permit and agreement to carry out works. – where possible specifics will be set out in mini tender documents. All discussions surrounding utilities unknown until works began, must be led by the Contractor. Ensure traffic management systems, including road closures are in place and agreed with Locality prior to commencement of works, where applicable. Ensure appropriate signage is in place to inform residents of works, safety and start and end dates of works. Hot works permits for all appropriate works. Temporary work solutions, shoring, propping, protection. Site clearance, cleaning, reinstatement to original state/condition. Repair/removal/replacement/installation works relating to landscaping, fencing, drainage, earthworks, geotechnical, piling and underpinning. Repair/removal/replacement/installation works relating to play areas and play/exercise equipment etc. Repair/removal/replacement/installation works relating to concrete structures. Repair/removal/replacement of roads/paths and the like Undertaking and provision of testing/reporting. Installation of structural supports/repairs/strengthening as directed. Site investigations and reports where required. Waste removal and site clear up. Other ad hoc and associated works. Please refer to Schedule 1 Lot 16 for further information on the scope of this Lot. Predominantly the work will be carried out in traditional and non-traditional Low and High Rise Domestic Properties, although there may be a need to carry out works in mixed tenure and commercial properties/building as the need arises. Generally, the work will consist of - Supply and/or Install replacement or upgrading of: Gas Boiler Replacements (maybe issued by CEC) Radiator Replacements Heating and distribution Pipework. Hot Water Storage Cylinder Replacements Full Central Heating System Replacements and upgrades Controls Upgrades and Replacements. Domestic components related to renewable heating technologies. Attendance to Defects and Failures (Generally within defects period) Domestic Hot Water (DHW), Domestic Cold Water (DCW) and Mains Cold Water (MCW) distribution pipework, storage systems, pumps and control systems and drainage systems. Please refer to Schedule 1 Lot 8 for further information on the scope of this Lot. Predominantly the work will be carried out in traditional and non-traditional Low and High Rise Domestic Properties, although there may be a need to carry out works in mixed tenure and commercial properties/building as the need arises. Design, Supply and or Installation of Refurbishments, Upgrades or New Electronic Passenger Lift Car/Cars (including Machine, Controllers and Drive, Overspeed Governor, Lift Car and Sling, Landing Entrance including Push Buttons and Indicators, sundries. This may or may not include Guides and Counterweights) within existing buildings. Including, delivery (including off-loading), dismantling and removal of the equivalent existing equipment, and all necessary and associated skills and trades. Testing and identification of all beams, handling and lifting equipment. The dismantling and safe removal and disposal of the equivalent existing equipment. Please refer to Schedule 1 Lot 6 for further information on the scope of this Lot. Predominantly the work will be carried out in traditional and non-traditional Low and High Rise Domestic and commercial Properties, although there may be a need to carry out works in mixed tenure and other building types as the need arises. The remit of this contract will require contractors to replace commercial installations which may include some forms of electrical control equipment (BMS) Generally, the work will consist of the replacement or upgrading of: Commercial Heating/Hot Water Systems: Upgrading/replacement or maintenance of commercial heating/hot water systems within commercial properties and domestic properties including multi storey blocks; including all associated boilers (all fuels), plant and equipment, calorifiers and storage tanks, pipework, pumps and valves, heat emitters, trace heating and management systems etc. AOV Systems (Automatic Opening Vent): Upgrading/replacement or maintenance of AOV systems within commercial properties and multi storey blocks, including all associated control panels, cabling, components, smoke detectors, control systems and routine testing and maintenance as required etc. Ventilation Systems: Upgrading/replacement or maintenance of commercial ventilation systems within commercial properties and domestic properties including multi storey blocks; including all associated plant and equipment, pipework, pumps and valves, fans, heating elements, HVAC systems and management systems etc. Fire Suppression and Sprinkler Systems: Upgrading/replacement or maintenance of fire suppression and sprinkler systems within Commercial properties and domestic properties including multi storey blocks; including all associated plant and equipment, pipework, pumps and valves, dry risers and management systems etc. Generators: Upgrading/replacement or maintenance of generators / mobile generators for commercial properties and domestic properties including multi storey blocks; including all associated plant, equipment and management/control systems etc. Please refer to Schedule 1 Lot 7 for further information on the scope of this Lot This lot is broken in to sub lots 1.1 Commercial Heating/Hot Water Systems 1.2 AOV Systems (Automatic Opening Vent) 1.3 Ventilation Systems 1.4 Fire Suppression and Sprinkler Systems 1.5 Generators. Predominantly the work will be carried out in traditional and non-traditional Low and High Rise Domestic Properties, although there may be a need to carry out works in mixed tenure and commercial properties/building as the need arises. Generally, the work will consist of - Supply and/or Install replacement or upgrading of: Door Entry: Installation of an electronically controlled door entry system to be activated from handsets within individual flats. CCTV Systems: Installation of CCTV systems, including the removal, disposal and replacement or repair of existing systems. Works shall include the removal, disposal and replacement or repair of existing systems All existing electronic infrastructure shall be checked and upgraded as appropriate. Warden Call Systems: Installation of Warden Call Systems, including the removal, disposal and replacement or repair of existing systems. All existing electronic infrastructure shall be checked and upgraded as appropriate. Installation of individual bespoke systems for particularly vulnerable or disabled tenants. Installations of grouped systems, combined warden call systems and dispersed alarms. Communal TV / Satellite Systems (Passive and Active): Installation of communal TV, Satellite and Integrated Reception Systems (IRS) systems, including the repair or removal, disposal and replacement of existing systems. All existing electronic infrastructure shall be checked and upgraded as appropriate. Please refer to Schedule 1 Lot 9 for further information on the scope of this Lot This lot is broken in to sub lots 1.1 Secure Door Entry Systems 1.2 CCTV Systems 1.3 Warden Call Systems 1.4 Communal TV/Satellite/IRS Systems. Predominantly the work will be carried out in traditional and non-traditional Low and High Rise Domestic Properties, although there may be a need to carry out works in mixed tenure and commercial properties/building as the need arises. Internal wall insulation: Draught proofing of doors and windows Installing under floor insulation Installing insulated flat roof system Installing insulated plasterboard to internal walls and ceilings External wall insulation: Applying appropriate insulation material to exposed concrete areas, such as garages and exposed under-croft ceiling spaces Draught proofing of doors and windows Installing External Wall Insulation systems Loft insulation: Insulating of pipe work in lofts and under floors Installing roof vents in loft spaces Installing or topping up loft insulation Relaying of damaged/missing loft insulation Cavity Wall Insulation: Carrying out cavity wall insulation installation or extract/refill of defective insulation Sustainable Energy: Installing Solar PV or Solar Hot Water systems Provide the appropriately qualified and experienced trades for enabling works that include, electricians, joiners, gas engineers, plumbers and painters EPC Certification (Energy Performance Certificate): Visiting tenants in their homes and carrying out energy surveys which also identify any other defects with the property that may impact on the installation of any insulation measures Producing an ‘Energy Survey Report’ for CEC identifying any insulation requirements that includes both U-value and Dew Point calculations Producing SAP reports or Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) lodged with the Scottish EPC register before and/or after installation of the measure as instructed Carry out monitoring of the effectiveness of installed measures in tenant’s property Please refer to Schedule 1 Lot 15 for further information on the scope of this Lot This lot is broken in to sub lots 1.1 Internal Wall Insulation 1.2 External wall insulation 1.3 Loft Insulation 1.4 Cavity Wall Insulation 1.5 Sustainable Energy 1.6 Energy Performance Certification. Predominantly the work will be carried out in traditional and non-traditional Low and High Rise Domestic Properties, although there may be a need to carry out works in mixed tenure and commercial properties/building as the need arises. Works could include: but not limited to Preparation and Decoration to External Render/Bick/Block Walls Preparation and Decoration to Common Stairs Walls & Ceilings (fire retardant and anti-graffiti systems may be required) Preparation and Decoration to External Fascia’s, Bargeboards, eaves etc. Preparation and Decoration to High Rise Drying Areas Please refer to Schedule 1 Lot 10 for further information on the scope of this Lot. The works shall include safe and controlled and emergency demolition of commercial and domestic Buildings, including demolition by explosives of non-traditional and traditional high and low rise structures within the domestic and non-domestic sectors and removal of all debris arising. Safe removal and excavation of foundations, substructure fill material including contaminated materials, underground services and removal of all debris arising. Site reinstatement shall be required including bringing to site imported fill material and/or selected crush material arising from the demolitions together with top soiling and seeding and the provision of long and short term fencing of completed sites including signage. On occasions contractors will be expected to respond to a requirement for a structure to be demolished at short notice. Co-operate with all power/gas/IT/utility providers, external consultants, police/emergency services, all other council and private ‘neighbours’ Co-operate with city archaeologist if required Shall act as Principal Contractor (CDMC) and produce all relevant forms/information. Compliance with H&S, Asbestos removal Contractors shall be a licensed to remove asbestos and be members of a recognised registration body such as NFDC for the duration of the framework contract. All other adhoc associated works. Please refer to Schedule 1 Lot 14 for further information on the scope of this Lot. The successful Contractor/s will be required to supply and/or install permeant or temporary ramps at predominately domestic properties throughout the Councils estate, as and when identified by the Council representatives. In addition, there may be a requirement to dismantle and or reinstall existing equipment at new locations, as and when identified by the Council. Permanent and temporary ramps may be fabricated in metal or constructed in Brick/block and concrete. All ramps must comply with all regulations, be constructed to the correct gradient for the available distance, have all the necessary platforms/landings/steps and handrails as required, be non-slip etc., additional steps/plats: to be constructed with brick/block and concrete, any additional handrails etc. which may be installed at existing or new steps All the above to allow access to dwellings/buildings, all in compliance with Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) Regulations. An element of contractor’s design will be required. All other adhoc works Please refer to Schedule 1 Lot 11 for further information on the scope of this Lot. Works will be carried out to private supply pipework located within and connected to Mains Distribution pipe work in and around traditional and non-traditional high and low rise domestic and commercial properties. The work will include, but not be limited to; The removal and safe disposal of all existing lead pipework The replacement of the lead pipework with new copper pipework to hot and cold supply systems including all valves/accessories and sundries required, Flushing, filling and commissioning pipes/cisterns and all associated testing and certification, Earthing and all associated testing and certification. Pipework insulation, New cisterns for potable water as required, Builder work in connection with, hot and cold supply pipes, Underground plastic/clay pipework including all tapes/bedding/surrounds and haunching, making good roadways/pedestrian pavements, Please refer to Schedule 1 Lot 12 for further information on the scope of this Lot. Predominantly the work will be carried out in traditional and non-traditional Low and High Rise Domestic Properties, although there may be a need to carry out works in mixed tenure and commercial properties/building as the need arises.
