The old spec from the previous contract has also been attached, feel free to read to get a better understanding of what is being procured. 1. Background Knowsley currently has a contract in place for providing emotional wellbeing and mental health interventions for children in the care of the local authority, and their carers. The specification is currently being rescoped with a revised budget and commissioners seek to understand that market offer for this type of service. We would like to take the opportunity to do some `soft market testing’ as outlined below, to determine current interest levels in the market. 2. Key Aims • A range of therapeutic interventions providing early intervention emotional and mental health support to children and young people who present with multiple and complex mental health needs. • Improvement in two key outcome areas - improved mental and emotional wellbeing for all children looked after (CLA), and an increase in the stability and effectiveness of our placements. • Intensive support for the family unit, where necessary, to support placement stability.
