(i) COMMUNITY PHLEBOTOMY SERVICE: The Castle Point and Rochford CCG wishes to secure Providers for the provision of Community Phlebotomy Services. . Providers will provide a community phlebotomy service encompassing all blood sampling for investigations and follow ups arising from the management of patients in primary care. It is recognised that the provision of phlebotomy services in primary care has significant benefits, providing a more convenient service to patients. There is a great increase in demand for community phlebotomy due to the increase in managing long term conditions in primary care. Services must be provided by trained practitioners with appropriate equipment. (ii) SECONDARY CARE WOUND MANAGEMENT SERVICE: The Castle Point and Rochford CCG wishes to secure Providers for the provision of Secondary Care Wound Management Services. Providers will need to carry out the following services: • Routine suture/clip/staple removal • Post-surgical wounds or trauma wounds that have initially been dealt with in secondary care or Accident and Emergency, including monitoring of infection, dehiscence (as appropriate) and haemorrhage/haematoma. (iii) COMMUNITY AMBULATORY 24 HOUR ELECTROCARDIOGRAM SERVICE: The Castle Point and Rochford / Southend CCGs wishes to secure Providers for the provision of Community Ambulatory 24 Hour Electrocardiogram Services. Ambulatory ECG/R tests are common diagnostic tools across a range of presenting clinical conditions in cardiology. Diagnostic tests can detect abnormalities and aid diagnosis allowing patients to then receive treatment which may include medical or surgical care, inpatient or outpatient care. Diagnostic tests of this type also provide reassurance to patients where no abnormalities are detected. Referrals into the service may come from secondary care, accident and emergency, walk in centres or GP practices. Services must be provided by trained practitioners.
