RCTCBC are tendering for Direct Payment Support Services, The service will comprise of: Information, assistance, and advice to people receiving or considering Direct Payments. A proactive recruitment service to ensure Personal Assistants are employed in a timely manner. A matching service and searchable database for Personal Assistants. A payroll service for people receiving a Direct Payment and employing their own Personal Assistants. A Managed Account support in instances where this has been assessed by the care manager as necessary. Training, support and awareness-raising for individuals, professionals, Personal Assistants, and social care staff. Support for the Microenterprises for Care project from the outset of the contract, with the view to the Provider delivering elements of the project from April 2025. The budget for this service is circa GBP300,000 which is based on current numbers of Direct Payment Recipients, however, this is subject to change as it is anticipated more people will be encouraged to use the service through the duration of the contract.
