UK Export Academy's Agri Food and Drink modules - subject-specific masterclass

Published

Description

The UK Export Academy (UKEA) from the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is a free training programme for UK businesses of all sizes looking to grow their international sales. So far over 16,000 businesses have signed up for the UK Export Academy. The sector specific modules were launched in 2022 with sector teams delivering 'Sector Overviews'. This is a contract for the Food and Drink sector specialism . The sector is also highly regulated and trading can be complex, particularly for smaller businesses. Understanding these complexities is the key to successful exporting. We want to demystify the challenge. There are not just barriers but also opportunities. Post Brexit, we want SMEs to utilise newly signed free trade agreements. Only one in five SMEs export, there is massive untapped potential for the UK's s largest manufacturing sector to export more. We want to encourage and inspire more businesses who only trade domestically to starting or re-start exporting, with our modules. To respond to an increasing demand from our audience, We would be looking for bidders to develop and deliver various modules, via Live webinars, to businesses seeking to export across different markets. These would enable companies to confidently export and demystify complex requirements and pitfalls involved. We are looking for: - A curriculum of modules tailored and mapped to meet all relevant stages of exporting food and drink is required. The modules should be based on evidence from DBT and other robust sources to demonstrate that the topics and content align to the most significant capability challenges faced by SME's in the sector. - An inspiring UK-wide approach: information should be inclusive and engaging to different audiences from around the union and tailored as required to engage businesses from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We want delegates to feel inspired about their comparative advantage: quality, innovation, traceability, heritage, sustainability, and high animal welfare standards. - Pedagogical tools: A teaching specialism, building on food and drink exporting experience, to help audience retain and act on the information. Quality assurance: The provider must have a food and drink specialism to ensure the content in relevant and that they can answer questions posed by companies. - Delivery: A consistent rhythm of quarterly modules that SMEs can reliably access. The modules can be delivered on a quarterly basis, with a minimum of 3 modules delivered per quarter, and a maximum of 16 per year. We would like the winning bidder to commence the development of the off er in Spring 2024. Supplier will need to be contracted by 6 May 2024. Module delivery will need to commence from May 2024.
