Description
Thirteen Group are developing a framework of providers to deliver Background Care and Support within current and future Extra Care schemes were there is an identified need for this type of service. The length of the contract is 3 years plus an option to extend for 1 further year. Lot 1: North Yorkshire and the Sowerby scheme. We estimate that the value of this Lot will not exceed 3 000 000 GBP over the framework lifespan. Lot 2: Tees Valley including Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool and Redcar and Cleveland. We estimate that the value of this Lot will not exceed 6 000 000 over the framework lifespan. Lot 3: County Durham including Darlington. We estimate that the value of this Lot will not exceed 3 000 000 GBP over the framework lifespan. Lot 4: Gateshead and Tyne and Wear including Sunderland. We estimate that the value of this Lot will not exceed 3 000 000 GBP over the framework lifespan. The Framework offers no guarantee of any level of business to any Provider appointed to the Framework. The above values are estimated. The Group intends to appoint per lot a minimum of 3 and maximum of 6 firms to provide the services contained within Lots 1, 2, 3, 4. Thirteen retains the right however to appoint fewer or more firms if it considers reasonable and appropriate to do so. For each scheme for which the Group requires then it intends to issue a mini competition from the Framework in the form of the e-procurement portal to each firm appointed to each lot to provide a bid. A scope of works will be provided by the Group so that the firm can accurately cost for the work to be undertaken. The Group will clearly set a time-scale for expected responses and quality assessment. The Group also reserves the right to direct award work where it deems fit to do so. This will be done on the ranking basis within the tender when awarding so that the prime contractor (1st place) may be given the work without further competition and this could be in the case where time-scales may not permit a mini competition.
