Dynamic Purchasing System for the provision of Private Hire Transport Services

Nottingham City Council (hereafter 'the Authority') is seeking tenders from sufficiently experienced and qualified providers for inclusion on a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to provide Private Hire Transport Services. The Authority’s detailed requirements are defined in the Service Specification. The DPS will consist of six lots. There is no limit on the number of providers accepted onto each lot. Suppliers can apply for any and all lots: • Lot 1 – Planned taxi routes • Lot 2 – Ad-hoc taxis • Lot 3 – Vehicles up to 8 seats (including specially adapted vehicles) • Lot 4 – Vehicles with 9 to 16 seats (including specially adapted vehicles) • Lot 5 – Vehicles with 17-51 seats • Lot 6 – Buses with 52 seats and above Lot 1: Planned Taxi Routes Providers will be required to provide taxi cabs for council departments and staff. Providers will be required to provide taxi cabs for up to four passengers for planned journeys and routes as outlined by the Authority in further competition stage documents. There will be journeys that are required outside of normal office hours, therefore the provider should have 24-hour service available. The service will be located primarily in Nottingham City and the wider County. On occasion, there may be some journeys required that take passengers outside the Nottingham and County area, for example, airports that are further afield. Providers will be required to provide the service to Service Users throughout these areas as outlined in further competition stage documents. Lot 2: Ad-hoc taxis Providers will be required to provide taxi cabs for council departments and staff. Providers will be required to provide taxi cabs for up to four passengers for ad-hoc journeys as outlined by the Authority in further competition stage documents. There will be journeys that are required outside of normal office hours, therefore the provider should have 24-hour service available. Lot 3: Vehicles up to 8 seats (including specially adapted vehicles) Providers will be required to provide vehicles with capacities ranging up to 8 seats, some of which may be required to be specially adapted. Providers will be required to provide for: a) Scheduled routes as outlined by the Authority in further competition stage documents; and b) Ad-hoc journeys as outlined by the Authority in further competition stage documents. The service will be located primarily in Nottingham City and the wider County. Lot 4: Vehicles with 9 to 16 seats (including specially adapted vehicles) Providers will be required to provide vehicles with capacities ranging from 9 – 16 seats, some of which will be required to be specially adapted. Providers will be required to provide for: a) Scheduled routes as outlined by the Authority in further competition stage documents; and b) Ad-hoc journeys as outlined by the Authority in further competition stage documents The service will be located primarily in Nottingham City and the wider County. Lot 5: Vehicles with 17-52 seats Providers will be required to provide vehicles with capacities ranging from 17 – 51 seats. Providers will be required to provide for: a) Scheduled routes as outlined by the Authority in further competition stage documents; and b) Ad-hoc journeys as outlined by the Authority in further competition stage documents. The service will be located primarily in Nottingham City and the wider County. Lot 6: Buses with 52 seats and above Providers will be required to provide vehicles with capacities of 52 seats and above. Providers will be required to provide for: a) Scheduled routes as outlined by the Authority in further competition stage documents; and b) Ad-hoc journeys as outlined by the Authority in further competition stage documents. The service will be located primarily in Nottingham City and the wider County.
