Hywel Dda University Health Board (HDUHB) is looking to establish a single contract with Mind Pembrokeshire in line with a new pilot initiative by Welsh Government and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to provide specialist training and employment services for adults with wellbeing and mental health issues called Individual Placement Support. The service will provide key outcomes for the Health Board in terms of supporting people's recovery and improving their health and wellbeing and increasing their opportunities for sustainable paid employment and training, thus ultimately reducing caseload numbers. Individual Placement Support is highly specialist and delivery partners must adhere to working its eight (8) key principles: i. To get people into competitive employment in the open labour market ii. It is open to all eligible people who want to work. iii. It tries to find jobs consistent with people's preferences. iv. It works quickly (Place, Train and Maintain) v. It brings Employment Specialists into clinical teams. vi. Employment Specialists develop relationships with employers based upon a person’s work preferences. vii. It provides time-limited, individualised support for the person and their employer. viii. Access to specialist benefits advice is included. In line with the funding requirement providers will need to: - Be able to provide services with an almost immediate effect upon contract award in April 2024. - Service implementation meetings are expected to commence in April 2024 - Must hold a Fidelity Kitemark prior to the project commencing and hold it throughout the funding period - Undertake Fidelity Reviews during the IPSPC Funding Period - Must have experience of working with individuals with mental health - Have stablished employer networks already in place across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire - Must adhere to working in line with the eight (8) key principles of Individual Placement Support - Must have knowledge of the relevant services and established links with locally commissioned services for people with disabilities and health conditions aged 18 years or older to enter work. - Have established relationships with DWP partners across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire - The Delivery Partner must have knowledge and links to similar services the health provides (including contractual) - Have comprehensive knowledge of the local labour market across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire - Have established effective working relationships with Mental Health, Local Authority and Primary Health partners Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire Lot 1: Hywel Dda University Health Board (HDUHB) is looking to establish a single contract with Mind Pembrokeshire in line with a new pilot initiative by Welsh Government and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to provide specialist training and employment services for adults with wellbeing and mental health issues called Individual Placement Support.
