An award has been made by Neath Port Talbot Council for the delivery of the following: CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS:- We require 50 trees to be watered with at least 40 litres of water per tree once a week from the first week of May 2023 until the end of September 2023. Trees planted are a mix of species and are of standard to heavy standard in size and therefore require a minimum of 10 litres of water each per week. Contractor would be expected to use their experience and knowledge of trees and apply a larger volume of water if required, based on weather conditions and the species ability to adapt to their current conditions. It would be expected that trees will be watered regardless of weather conditions except for in exceptionally wet weeks, agreement with council officer will be needed to forgo watering during these conditions. Water will not be provided by the council and will be the responsibility of the contractor to source clean water. Tree are located in Baglan Moors, Sandfields and Taibach areas of Port Talbot • Ysgol Bae Baglan • Constant road: Taibach • Galipoli row: Taibach • Golf Road: Sandfields • Farmfield Ave: Sandfields • Llewellyn close: Taibach • North street: Taibach • Seaward Avenue: Sandfields • Westlands: Baglan Moors Once the contract is awarded, a site visit can be arranged with the Green Infrastructure team if required. Watering is also required for nearby Sandfields site newly planted Sunken Garden from June onwards and local Aberavon seafront Green Roof and Green Roof Bus shelter if weather conditions dictate. DELIVERABLES:- The contractor will be expected to provide: 1. At least 40 litres of water per tree for 50 trees once a week 2. Notify council officers of any damage or vandalism to trees on watering contract as soon as noticed 3. Watering of Aberavon seafront Sunken Garden, & 2 green roofs if weather and Council officers dictate. (Dry Weather Conditions). 4. Contractor to supply their own water
