Worcestershire County Council is looking to commission a service provider to provide specialist practitioners as part of their Worcestershire Family Safeguarding (WFS) Service for a 10-month period from 1st June 2024 to 31st March 2025. There is a possibility of a 12-month extension, subject to funding availability. The following roles are required:• 2 FTE Domestic Abuse Survivor Workers• 2 FTE Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Workers• 2 FTE Substance Misuse Recovery Workers The staff roles will be required to work as part of a small multi-agency team to avoid exculpation of social work intervention and ultimately to reduce risk. The commissioned specialist practitioners will work alongside allocated social workers across the WCC Children’s Services safeguarding service. Staff will need to have adequate and relevant training and experience in their areas of speciality. The workers will be co-located and operationally managed with social work staff in WCC Children’s Services by the Practice Manager. They will be line-managed by the commissioned service provider and continue to receive specialist clinical supervision within their own organisation to maintain accreditation to achieve specialist standards of practice.
