8 Broad Street, March, Cambridgeshire PE15 8TG This property is leased by the District Council and the lease ends 15 July 2019. The property is laid out as a public advice point at ground floor with offices on the first floor. The landlord requires the property to be converted back to its original form as an A1 retail shop at ground floor and 2 x 1 bedroom flats above. Planning permission is not required for this as it is permitted development. The Council is responsible for the interior and exterior so the works required include both internal conversion and external work and some roof work to remedy disrepair. The Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced contractor who is Constructionline Registered to carry out these works so that they are complete by the end of June 2019 ready for landlord acceptance at lease end 15 July 2019. It is anticipated that building work will need to commence 1st April 2019 so contactors must be available to start the work then. Expressions of interest are invited and tenders are required to be returned to The Procurement Team no later than 4pm on 15th March 2019.
