In summary, the Goods comprise the supply, delivery, of a Multimode Plate Reader with Shaker functionality. The instrument must support the following experimental protocols: Growth medium (most often a volume of 100-200 µL per well) containing bacterial cultures expressing fluorescent proteins will be added to the wells of a microtiter plate (most often 96-wells) and incubated at fixed temperature (20-45°C) and orbital or double orbital shaking in the plate reader for 1-4 days, several times a month. Absorbance, fluorescence and/or luminescence measurements will be taken periodically to monitor bacterial growth, expression of fluorescent proteins and bioluminescence.
