Framework Agreement for the Provision of Specialised Services in Care Homes

Description

The purpose of the Specialised Services in Care Homes Framework (“The Specialised Framework”) is to enable the Council and its Health Partners to work with the Care Homes Sector to rapidly commission services that provide a level of additionality or specialism that is over and above the existing care home commissioning arrangements. Lot 1: Block contracts Block arrangements are when beds are purchased on a guaranteed basis at a set price. This means that Providers would be required to keep these beds available to the Council and that the beds would be funded regardless of use. Lot 2: Spot placements Spot Placements are when beds are purchased on an individual basis. Spot Placements depend on availability (if a Provider has beds available) and are only funded when in use.
