Value

Description

The Smart Building Contractor shall be responsible for the design development, coordination, supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, demonstration and handover of the integration of the building sub-system networked devices required to achieve the required ‘Smart’ connected working environment as detailed within this specification. Lot 1: The Smart Building Contractor will be responsible for the design development, coordination, supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, demonstration and handover of the integration of the building sub-system networked devices required to achieve the required ‘Smart’ connected working environment as detailed within this specification. The building’s systems will be delivered as fully commissioned/functional systems, with their own data storage and head end user interface where required. On completion, all relevant system static (asset) and dynamic (state) operating data will be available to communicate to a validation MQTT broker or future cloud services platform. The following requirements should meet the following general set of 'smart building' objectives: - Allows applications to be created that can communicate and influence physical devices in buildings from a variety of manufacturers and contractors. - Provides capabilities for digital services to be offered via the internet rather than a local interface. - Implements a consistent device and data point naming approach to allow data sources to be identified and located regardless of the originating system. - Enables applications to be implemented at a variety of times and via a variety of procurement vehicles through documented APIs that decouple physical asset procurement and maintenance from smart applications. - Enables a centralised asset database of digital and building system assets that connect building networks. - Enables remote management of digital and building system assets including ‘touch-free’ upgrade of firmware within devices.
