Description
Slough and East Berkshire Multi-Academy Trust (SEBMAT) is a Trust of 7 Academies encompassing c.4,214 pupils. SEBMAT has a growth strategy that over the next 5 years the Trust aims to incorporate more schools so that it is a 10 school organisation. Slough and East Berkshire Church of England Multi-Academy Trust (SEBMAT) has been established to form a group of schools which can support each other to ensure the best possible outcomes for the young people in Slough and the nearby areas. This group of schools includes primary and secondary schools and has a Christian ethos. This does not prevent non-Church of England schools joining the Trust as we enshrine a wide values base. SEBMAT will support schools to excel through coaching, sharing good practice and helping to secure good value for money. Slough and Eton Church of England Business and Enterprise College, Colnbrook Church of England Primary and Eton Pony Church of England First School were the first three schools in SEBMAT. Lynch Hill Enterprise Academy and Lynch Hill School Primary Academy joined the Trust on the 1 January 2019. Woodlands Park joined in November 2022 and The Grove will join in April 2023. The ICT Support at the Trust is currently provided internally. The team who deliver a mix of both onsite and remote support. The reason for this procurement is that the Trust wishes to consolidate its ICT provision, into a single outsourced service that will deliver infrastructure management, ICT Projects (initially to 'joined up' the ICT across the Trust) and supply of equipment. In school, 'adds, moves and changes' will continue to be carried out by SEBMAT staff. Going forward - This procurement This procurement encompasses the items noted below. At the sole discretion of the Trust any future schools that the Trust may incorporate into the Trust will also be added to the ICT contract. Any additional schools will co-terminate to the same end date as the initial contract. The new service provider will also deliver a range of technology and change management projects to go ahead as soon as possible. The main focus of these projects is to address technology issues in schools and 'join up' the schools into a single network provision. A full technical analysis of each school will be provided to shortlisted bidders at the ITT Stage. The companies identified from these shortlisting questions to receive the ITT for the Managed service will then receive a detailed set of requirements. For the purposes of this shortlisting stage bidders should assume that the ITT will include, but not be limited to: • Strategic advice and direction to the Trust regarding ICT • Single service desk for all ICT issues - Full time except Bank Holidays • Single ITSM tooling for both SEBMAT and the bidders staff to use • 24 x 7 x 365 remote monitoring and management, including all patching and updates • Responsibility for design, specification, installation and management of all ICT infrastructure • Re-active onsite staffing bidders to deliver the SLA. • Supply of goods and services based on an agreed Best Value (BV) approach • Management of 3rd parties - apart from those which relate to local device based applications • Relevant monitoring, management, patching and reporting • Training - Technical and curriculum as necessary • Expectation that the provider will drive innovation • Risk registers and infrastructure inventory management • Collective partnership targets aligned to the Trusts objectives • Due diligence for future schools Bidders should note the following; • The Trust will provide a standard contract as part of the ITT Pack • There is not expected to be an initial requirement for TUPE Lot 1: Slough and East Berkshire Multi-Academy Trust (SEBMAT) is a Trust of 7 Academies encompassing c.4,214 pupils.
